The Honiton ladies’ section saw just five pairs plus one marker, battled through the wind, rain and intermittent fog on Wednesday to complete this week’s foursomes stableford, writes Andy Wagner.

Although the weather did everything it could to hinder them, Sue Ritchie and Gill Johnson managed a very respectable 32 points to win first place.

They will go forward to represent the club in the Killard Leavy final to be held at Honiton in September.

Heather Clarke and Joan Smith were second with 26 points.
