Rogers and Pipe win Tuesday Mixed at Honiton

11:21 22 January 2014

At last the weather was dry overhead for the Tuesday Mixed, writes Andy Wagner.

Credit must be given to the ground staff on the condition of the course considering all the rain we have had.

Due to early morning frost temporary greens were in play.

Twenty-two members played the stableford format competition with four clubs and a putter.

The winning pair with 41 points were Liz Rogers and Max Pipe.

The minor places were determined by countback with the players carding scores of 38 points.

The countback, done over the back nine, put Su Calver and Ken Wood into second spot and third place went to Lesley Oxenham and Mike Watts.
