Honiton Hawks Under-10s visited Cullompton on Sunday morning for their latest action.

Due to the half-term holidays, the Hawks travelled with what was a slightly depleted squad of nine players.

The youngsters in action were Archie Trott, Byron Chalmers, Charlie Wheeler, Harry Evans, Harry Haysom, Kyle Moore, Liam Webber, Logan Symons and Taylor Prettejohn, who played two eight-a-side games with a rolling sub. The contests were competitive and it is noticeable that the rucking, which has been introduced to the boys at this age group, is becoming more aggressive and effective each week!

Hawks enjoyed another successful morning, winning both closely-fought matches, claiming the honours in one by four tries to three and the other by four tries to two.

The ‘Best Effort of the Day’ award went to Byron Chalmers as reward for a fine display of tackling defence and some good, hard straight running in attack.
