Honiton Rugby Club formally marked the contribution of captain Brendan Findlay, who retires after 17 years of dedicated service to the club, at their annual dinner and presentation of awards.

Both the first and second teams had good seasons. the first team played 29, won 17, lost 12, scored 799 points, conceded 326 and finished eighth in the 16 strong Cornwall and Devon League.

Isaac Dalton played all 29 games.

The second team had their highest ever league finish, fifth, having played 24 matches, won 11, drawn won and lost 12. They scored 543 points, conceding 434. Sam Collins played most games, 22.

Cups were awarded by the player coach, Glenn Channing.

Winners were: Dudley Todd Drop Goal Cup: Glenn Channing.

Jack George Perpetual Challenge Cup (most points scored): Ben Webber.

Harry Timms Award (Second team most tries): Ben Dobson (10).

Norman Black Cup (First team tries): Luke Kenny (15).

Dr Glanvill Cup (Most improved player): Isaac Dalton.

Over 40s player of the year: Mick Huskins.

Norman Wyatt Colt of the Year (Under 18): Ben Small.

Under 21 Player of the Year: Ollie Rice.

Second Team Player of the year: Jonathan Galling

Glenn Channing's Coach’s Player of the Year: Dean Norman. The Summers Cup(Outstanding Player of the Year): Josh Rice. John Bennett Memorial Trophy (Clubman of the Year): Steve Thomas.
