Honiton 12, Tavistock 39

Honiton Under-15s went out of the Devon Junior Cup, but only after their side, shorn of many regulars through injury, gave a good account of themselves.

Honiton started brightly and looked to have the upper hand.

They fell behind, but quickly restored parity and then added the extra two points to take an early lead.

The heavy going pitch and greater opposition numbers saw the laceboys tire and allow Tavistock to start scoring all too easily, they never gave up and grabbed a second of their own but were never able to regain the upper hand.

The Honiton tries were scored by Louis Groves and Angus Meadows with a conversion slotted by Will Tyers.
