Luff leaves Chard for Topsham

16:22 04 February 2014

The weather frustrated Chard RFC again last Saturday when the heavy rain on the Friday left the pitch waterlogged and so the attractive home fixture against St Austell was postponed for the second time in a month.

There is no news yet of when this game will be replayed.

On Saturday Chard are away at Thornbury in South Gloucestershire and will be looking to avenge the narrow defeat they suffered against them at Chard earlier in the campaign.

Chard 2nd XV are at home to Hornets on Saturday in a Somerset Division One match and the clubs third XV host Martock in Somerset 3 South. All three games kick off at 2.30pm

There has been a playing departure from the club with the news that utility three-quarter Jason Luff has left to join Topsham.
