Soggy win for Johnson

19:12 06 May 2014

Early starters this week in the ladies’ section were treated to some soggy ground with the course playing very long, writes Andy Wagner.

However, as the day wore on conditions improved and this may have something to do with the wide difference in scores.

Top scorer was Gill Johnson who claimed first place in Bronze Division One with 37 stableford points.

Liz Wood was second with 30 points and Jenny Raison was third with 28 points with Janet Hughes close on her heels in fourth with 27 points.

In Silver Division it was hard to split first and second as Henrietta Bradshaw edged out Tricia Swindell after countback was called into play with both players carding 35 stableford points.

The Bronze Division Two winner was Jan Lloyd with 30 points, followed by Liz Rogers in second place with 29.

The 9-hole stableford was won by Betty Weeden.
