Lambert’s Castle Riding Club teams were successful at the national RC eventing championships.

The senior open team won the all four scores award and came third in the overall team competition. The senior intermediate team were placed fourth.

The championships were held at Washbrook Farm, Aston le Walls, in Northamptonshire. The senior competition ran as a three day event. Other teams from the south west area 12 did well at the national finals, Sid and Otter Valley and Quantock clubs also in the placings.

The Lambert’s Castle open team members were: Tim Rogers riding Leacourt Master Doubt, Emily Gawler on Hungover Henry, Olivia Benger on Farney River and Kate Jupp on Jumblue.

In the individual placings Gawler came fourth and Jupp 10th in their sections.

The senior intermediate team members were Tim Rogers, Victor II; Emily Gawler, Perfect Game; Olivia Benger, Corrieview Merlins Magic and Steph Bere, Natta On. In the individual placings Gawler came third, Rogers sixth and Bere ninth in their sections.

The club also qualified a junior novice team - Sophie Benger, Mr Monty; Rosie Wharton, Jack, and Rosanna Hendley, Chilli Pepper - who ended up just out of the team placings.

Benger was placed third individually on Mr Monty in the junior novice and, riding Humphrey as an individual in the junior intermediate, was placed ninth.

The junior competition ran as a one day event competition.
