Taunton and Exeter based Roller Derby Team, the South West Angels of Terror (SWAT) travelled to Bristol to face Bristol Roller Derby’s A-team, the Harbour Harlots, Kimberley Rainford.

The teams last faced each other back in 2011, when SWAT took the honours and once again they were the stronger of the two teams on show.

SWAT took charge from the opening exchanges and held a healthy half-time advantage.

The Bristol skaters came back fighting in the second half, but the Angels well drilled tactics ensured that they were able to hold their lead to skate to a 198-155 victory.

The win lifts SWAT, the reigning South West League champions, to 37th in the European Roller Derby rankings.

SWAT are looking for local business to sponsor them, so if you fancy helping your local Roller Derby team climb even higher in the European rankings, please get in touch via their website www.swatrollerderby.com
