TAGB at Bridport celebrating success of their martial arts students.

PUBLISHED: 16:28 25 February 2014 | UPDATED: 16:28 25 February 2014

They have been busy recently at Bridport TAGB Tae Kwon-Do.

The first Sunday of the month saw the staging of the South West Championships in Paignton.

Rosie Aze, Steve Phillips and Chloe Richards represented Bridport TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Club, competing against martial artists from across the region.

Richards, who is also the instructor, returned home with a bronze for individual sparring whilst Aze and Phillips also performed admirably in what was their first tournament.

The pair are excited about representing their club for a second time at the English Championships in March in Worcester.

Aze and Phillips also graded for their next belt along with Julie Kelly and Rowan McEvoy in Honiton on the second Sunday of the month. All four were successful and have been awarded with their new colour belts.

This follows an exciting assembly at Bridport Primary School, where Aze and her bother Joe demonstrated their skills alongside club instructor Richards and Julie Kelly, the latter a teaching assistant at the school.

The training times have changed for Bridport TAGB Tae Kwon-Do and a special Tigers class for juniors is being offered.

You can join them at Bridport Leisure Centre on Sundays from 5pm to 6pm or at Loders Village hall on Wednesdays.

Tigers will train from 5pm to 6pm and everyone else from 6pm to 7pm.

You can email the instructor, Miss Chloe Richards, at bridporttagb@gmail.com, phone 07999 317673 or look at the Target TAGB website.
