Honiton Town 0, Copplestone 5
Honiton Town Under-11’s topsy-turvy season continued as they slumped to a heavy home reversal, writes Stuart Ward.
After the previous weeks win the Town were looking to keep the momentum going, but a combination of poor communication and indecision allowed the visitor’s to put pressure on the home goal resulting in the Mid Devon side taking a two-goal lead by half-time.
After the break Town showed some improvement, but were unable to make any of their occasional sorties into the opposition penalty area count. At the other end the visitors added three further goals.
Oliver Turl in the Honiton goal was the home player to stand out. He made several saves to keep the score line respectable!
Honiton now have a break from matches for a few weeks and will work hard on the training ground to gain more consistency.
