Cullompton U13s 40, Honiton RFC U13s 5
Honiton travelled to Cullompton on a lovely sunny morning for their game of rugby. The actual score line does not do the Honiton boys any justice, writes Ben Lee.
Missed tackles were once again the order of the day. However, a well-worked try in the second half saw Joel Gibson go over and score Honiton’s only points of the game. Lots of positives to take from the game and lots to work on as well.
Honiton RFC U15s 22, Cullompton U15s 17,
With home advantage and the opposition only turning up with 12 players Honiton were well placed to win.
after lending two players and playing 14- a-side they soon set about dominating the first half.
The second half saw a lack of energy and, as the home side tired, they allowed Cullompton to draw close but just held on for the win.
Try scorers were Kyle Blackmore, Tom Holmes, Hamish O’Brien, and Dion Warner, with one conversion for Louis Groves who was Man of the Match for some great tackling.
