Upottery seal the East Devon Short Mat Bowls Evening Division Two title

09:40 20 February 2014

The action continued last week in the East Devon Short Mat Bowls League, writes Caroline Pavey.

The Evening Division One saw home wins for Awliscombe, Musbury and Sidbury which very much means that there’s still all to play both at the top and the bottom of the table.

In the Evening Division two a home win for Upottery sees the virtually unstoppable at the top.

That of course means they have bagged one of the two promotion berths and so there’s plenty to play for in terms of that other promotion spot and the battle to avoid the drop!

Afternoon Division One saw home wins for Seaton Cliff A and Upottery and away wins for Seaton Cliff B and Beer.

Afternoon Division Two saw a draw for Colyton B and Seaton Cliff C and home wins for Chard B, Hemyock B and Sidford.
