Walker wins Axe Cliff ladies’ Vets Bowls

The latest Axe Cliff ladies’ medal meeting was won by Helen Kenworthy with an excellent nett 65 bringing her handicap down to 10, writes Janet Dack.

Lady captain Sandra Walker was second with a nett 74 and third was Margaret Kenchington with a nett 75.

Last Wednesday the ladies contested the Vets Bowl and also an extra medal round.

The winner was Sandra Walker with Glenda Board taking second place.
