Easter Sunday saw the Easter cross country competition at Honiton, writes John Pawley.

This was a fun 9-hole competition with a challenging layout which tested the skills of members. There was everything from a 60-yard par three to a 786-yard par six! The winner was Jim Wallis with 19 points.

Later in the day around 20 local children attended and enjoyed an Easter egg hunt. On Easter Saturday, Honiton hosted Sidmouth in a friendly fixture that the home side won emphatically at five-and-a-half to a half. Meanwhile, the Dartmoor League team were whitewashed 5-0 away at Dartmouth.
