Last month saw the fifth annual wheelchair badminton tournament hosted by the Devon Racqueteers.
The Badminton Club boasts four players that enjoy high rankings in world paralympic badminton.
Members of the largest wheelchair badminton club in the UK came together at Broadclyst Leisure Centre to compete in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches.
The tournament sponsored by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors brought great success for Connor Dua-Harper (Wellington) and Hannah Baldwin (Plymouth) who won gold together in the mixed doubles as well as taking home gold in their individual events.
Baldwin and Dua-Harper took home a third gold each in the men’s and ladies doubles, Dua-Harper partnered with Rowan Crossman and Baldwin partnered with Donna Crook for the ladies doubles gold.
The player of the tournament trophy went to 14 –year-old Dre Curtis from Torrington.
Thanks goes out to organisers Ian Vosper and Sharon Hawkins, and tournament referee Jane Lipton.
