Various events are happening in the area, here are just a few of them.
East Devon Hill Forts, 6,000 years of history, will be the subject of a Powerpoint presentation by Professor Tom Cadbury at the Woodmead Hall, Lyme Regis, on Thursday, February 7, at 2.30pm.
It will be sponsored by The Friends of Lyme Regis Museum.
Admission £2 for members, £3 for visitors, including refreshments.

Chard-based ZEM Carnival Club, who successfully competed in both Devon and Somerset during 2012 as ‘Alice’ have announced the date of their Annual Prize Bingo.
This is to be held at Crowshute House, Chard on Saturday, February 23, with doors opening at 6.30pm and eyes down at 7.15pm.
There will be three superb prizes per house along with a mammoth raffle and refreshments available.

South West Airfield Heritage Trust will be hosting an event at Dunkeswell Airfield on the Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18.
The day will feature some of the cast members from Band of Brothers, as well as World War Two re-enactors, military vehicles, vintage aircraft and 1940s entertainment.
There will also be music, a children’s area and traders.

Seaton and District Hospital League of Friends, home nursing team will be hosting its Tuesday live event, every week between 10.30am and 12.30pm, at the League of Friends Community Resource Centre, Fore Street, Seaton.
The drop-in sessions are patient-led, informal, and for people living with life-limiting illness.
Join them for coffee, the group is run by volunteers.
Also, the home nursing team, supported by Seaton Hospital League of Friends run a bereavement group for anyone recently bereaved.
The group runs from 7.30pm to 9pm on the last Wednesday of every month, at Seaton Hospital, in Valley View.

Everyone is welcome to go along to the ‘Seniors Council for Seaton and Area’ open meeting, on Wednesday, January 30, at 2pm, at the Methodist Church rear Hall, Scalwell Lane, in Seaton.
The speaker is from Overmass and Chapple, on an interesting topic, which will affect us all.
Refreshments will be provided. There is ample parking and the town bus passes close by
There will be a spoon carving day with Wildside Experience, on Saturday, February 9, near Hemyock.
From living willow to a bespoke hand-carved spoon in just one day!
All tuition and tools provided, also refreshments and a home-cooked lunch.
You can personalise your spoon by burning into the wood with a pyrography pen.
It will run from 10am to 3pm, with adults charged £25 and children age 11-16 (must be accompanied by an adult) £15.
Booking essential, and take wellies for harvesting the wood!

Dave Martin’s Jabbo Five will be performing in the Cellar Bar, at Kennaway House, Sidmouth, on Sunday, February 10.
The gig is part of the Jazz in the Afternoon series.
Doors open at 2pm and the gig will take place between 3pm and 5.30pm, with tickets costing £10 on the door.
There will be a bar and light refreshments available.
