Little Ash Farm Bungalow, Fenny Bridges, near Honiton, will be opening for the first time to display its snowdrops on Friday, February 9.

Visitors will get the chance to see more than 150 different varieties with accompanying hellebores, narcissus and crocus in this one and a half-acre country garden planted for year round interest and owners pleasure.

There is also a wide range of shrubs, trees and bamboos.

Gardener Helen Brown said: “I’ve never opened at this time of year before, as it’s a struggle to get the garden looking tidy, but the snowdrops have spread enough now to make a decent show for people to enjoy in aid of worthwhile causes.”

The garden will be open from 11am to 2pm.

Soup, drinks and flapjack will be offered in aid of the Escot Church new boiler fund and Elworthy Cottage Nursery will have special snowdrops for sale, with a share of the event proceeds to go to Hospicecare.
