There are plenty of seasonal treats in store as Exmouth Pavilion’s festive line-up swings into action.

This Saturday (December 13) you can dust off your dancing shoes at a 1970s’ Retro Office Christmas Party Night. The non-stop disco dancing tribute show includes the hits of ABBA, Suzi Quatro, Blondie, David Bowie, Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, plus a big Christmas hits finale.

“We’ve tried to pack as many of the stars of the 1970s into the show as possible,” says Gary Birtles, the show’s producer. “There will be some memorable songs.” Tickets will include a 1970s’ meal, including chicken and chips in a basket, black forest gateaux or cheesecake dessert.

The following evening (Sunday, December 14), the Budleigh Male Voice Choir will be presenting a concert, with a varied programme of Christmas music and carols. Guest soloists will be Jenny Abbots (soprano) and Isaac Visser (treble). On Wednesday (December 17), the Royal Marines’ Band is having its Christmas concert from 7.30pm, with tickets costing £9.

UK comedy troupe The Noise Next Door brings an evening of off-the-cuff mirth on Friday, December 19. The six-time sell-out veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival are one of the country’s most sought-after comedy club headliners.

That’s followed - on Saturday, December 20 - by the return of Joey the Lips, the popular funk, soul, blues and disco covers band.

Centre Stage – Exmouth’s youth theatre group – is back in action on Sunday, December 21. Its Step Into Christmas show has been described as a “glistening, snow-filled magical delight”.

Starting on Boxing Day, there’s the Pavilion’s annual panto. This year it’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, starring EastEnders Lucy Beale and CBBC star Lucinda Rhodes. It’s on every day at 2pm until Tuesday, December 30, and then returns in the new year (January 1-3, with an extra evening show, at 7pm, on January 2).

And, if you want to swing out the old and bring in the new with the songs of Liverpool’s finest, join the FAB Beatles at the Pavilion on New Year’s Eve (December 31, 7.30pm).
