A la Ronde - the National Trust property in Exmouth - continues to inspire visitors who pass through the gallery space, located in the original stables.

Currently on show is the exciting and innovative work by the Exmouth Community College A-level art students. The exhibition runs until Friday, October 23.

Then, from Saturday, October 24, until Sunday, November 1, there will be artwork created by families at the Holy Trinity Playgroup, inspired by A la Ronde itself.

“It is so great to be able to display artwork from local young people and give them the opportunity to see their hard work in a gallery space,” said Emma Kay, visitor experience manager. “The standard of the A-level students always amazes me and I always look forward to seeing this exhibition.”

A la Ronde was created by the Parminter cousins in the late 18th century. There’s another world inside the unique 16-sided house, full of creativity and treasures from around the world. There are spectacular views of the Exe Estuary and a sense of harmony created by the cousins as you explore the grounds.

Visitors can also step through the key-hole-shaped door into the award-wining tea-room, or sit outside to admire the view of the Exe Estuary, with delicious hot and cold light lunches, home-made cakes or a Devon cream tea.

Normal admission charges apply for entry to the house, which is open from 11am to 5pm, with last admissions at 4pm. The gallery exhibitions are free events.
