Just Misbehaving

Just Misbehaving

Archant

The Grove, Exmouth is a family friendly pub on the seaside, with a large garden area and a balcony overlooking the seafront.

The landlords are passionate about their food and entertainment with an extensive menu featuring traditional pub classics and a weekly changing seafood-based specials list.

On Sunday, February 3, the great band Just Misbehavin’ will be performing.

It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing - that’s where the band come from.

The amazing Lynn Thornton on vocals will beguile you with her beautiful tone, shock you when she growls and delight you with her wonderful interpretation of the songs.

Ric White weaves the instrumental lead on sax while Paul Barnham feeds in the chords and lovingly crafts solos on piano. Then we come to Mike Thorn on upright bass and Ted Draper on drums laying down that essential, foot tapping, knee bending, elbow swinging rhythm. Irresistible!

If you want fun, you want to dance and you want romance with a little raunch, then you want to see this band!

Chloë Stratta.

Elijah, first performed in Birmingham in 1846 and conducted by the composer himself, is not a work to be attempted by the faint-hearted, requiring singers with stamina and the ability to sing over an arching range of dynamics, from the contemplative style of Blessed are the Men who fear Him, to the declamatory Baal we cry to thee.
