Mark Mitchell, a 3D Artist and Designer from Dunkeswell has been selected to be published in the UK’s most comprehensive and prestigious illustration book, Images 36.

Owner of the Mitchell 3D Studio in Dunkeswell, Devon, Mark’s work comprises Photo-realistic 3D illustration, animation and 2D graphic design for well known household brand names and manufacturers such as Carlsberg, Bayer, FIFA and Carlton TV.

Artistically influenced by Photo-realists such as John Salt and Chuck Close he developed his own unique style, making him one of the leading photo-realistic 3D artists in the UK.

His design and illustrations have previously received industry accolades, now his work has been jury selected for Images 36 - the best of British illustration 2012.

“Images” is the UK’s leading illustration competition, annual awards show and touring exhibition dedicated to showcasing the very best in new British illustration.

The competition is organised annually by the Association of Illustrators (AOI), this year being it’s 13th.

It is unique in that it is Britain’s only jury-selected illustration competition, judged by a highly respected panel of industry experts. Only the highest scoring images win the right to feature in the book.

Delighted to be chosen to feature in Images 36, Mark is now looking forward to participating in the forthcoming Award Event.

Mark will join this year’s winners to enjoy an evenings celebration of the launch of the book at Somerset House, a major arts and cultural centre in the heart of London, on the Tuesday, October 2.
