Treats in store for history and music lovers in East Devon

Historical and musical notes can entertain different audiences

● Feniton History Group will be hosting a talk on Medieval Rood Screens - Their Rise and Their Fall...

The guest speaker, Martin Horrell, will explain the historic importance and origins of the Rood Screen, their influence and gradual removal in the 18th century.

Mr Horrell is an expert on the subject as well as in church design and craftsmanship.

This talk will be a treat for all those interested in historic Devon churches.

It will take place in Feniton Church at 7.30pm, on Thursday, April 20.

Admission (£4) includes refreshments.

● The Magic of the Musicals is set to be staged on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, at the Guildhall, in Axminster, starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from The Archway Bookshop on 01297 33595 or online from tickets.axmt.co.uk at £10 each.

Seating is unreserved, so arrive early to get your best seat.
