A ‘thoroughly spine-tingling, energetic evening’ is being promised on Friday, June 23, when the ‘Feelgood Fantasia’ comes to the Beehive in Honiton.
The vibrant performance, led by musical and creative director Edward Jacobs, features the popular and irrepressible trio Trichord, with Hilda and James Clemas and Edward, and some of the best local professional musicians and vocalists, including drummer Jim Newton, pianist Katarina Kovac, and singers Jacqueline Bourne and Mary Bowles.
The musicians and vocalists will be joined by members of two local choirs – an 83-strong group from the Axe Valley Community Choir and Dorset-based Jurassic Coast Inspirational Choir. There will be powerful chorus and band numbers, gentle emotive vocal solos and some surprising instrumental items all meshed together to satisfy a wide taste in musical genres; well-known standards, foot-tapping popular songs, fantastic film themes, dreamy Disney melodies and more.
Tickets for ‘Feelgood Fantasia’ are available now from The Beehive on 01404 384 050.
