Three dance theatre companies will perform at Stockland Village Hall on Friday, September 29.

The show is part of Villages In Action's 'From Devon with Love' dance theatre festival, celebrating local professional dancers and choroegraphers.

The three acts are Richard Chappell Dance, duo Vicki Horan & Sonia Takurdesai, and two young male dancers from Somerset-based Stacked Wonky who have just returned from performing their dance duet at Greenwich & Docklands international Festival.

Richard Chappell Dance's 'Infinite Ways Home' is described as 'a multisensory production that explores ritual and human connection. Combining Chappell’s diverse choreographic language of ballet, contemporary dance and improvisation, Infinite Ways Home looks to redefine our sense of community and home, in a mesmerising feast of movement and pulsating sound'. It features internationally-renowned contemporary and vogue dancer Faye Stoeser.

'Splodge' by Vicki Horan & Sonia Takurdesai is 'a verbatim piece that blends the line between performance art and theatre; inviting audiences to enter a world of colour, chaos and motion filled with art, dance and honest conversations exploring identity'.

'4 Minutes' by the Stacked Wonky pair is 'a physically explosive duet reporting back on the monotony, irrationality and brilliance of young life in just four minutes, as a large digital clock hangs overhead. This is a countdown duet for two 16-year-old boys tasked to report back on life in just four minutes'. This part of the show will be performed outside.

Young people from the local youth group will be attending the dance show and giving their reactions and feedback to each performance.

The show will take place in - and outside - Stockland Village Hall on Friday, September 29, from 7pm untiil 9pm.  Adult tickerts are £10, young people free - the performance is suitable for those aged 7 and over.
