A seafront bed in Seaton has been transformed by a clearance and new planting.

East Devon District Council's Streetscene team moved on to the site on Friday, September 29, and spent a week on the revamp.

They removed overgrown plants, added new gravel and planted phorniums - an evergreen perennial that is suited to gravel gardens.

Meanwhile the council is asking for public feedback about Seafield Gardens, to help plan future improvements.

An online survey on its website asks Seaton residents and visitors how often they visit the gardens and what their favourite elements are, such as the sensory garden, the sports/gym facilities or hte pond and clock tower.

They're also asked whether they've experienced any anti-social behaviour there.

The survey asks whether respondents have attended any special events at Seafield Gardens such as Love Parks Week or Seaton Eats Boutique.

Respondents are also invited to suggest improvements or make further comments about East Devon's council-managed green spaces.
