On Wednesday 15th November at Branscombe CE Primary School opened a brand new library for students.

Ashleigh Tubbs, Head of Learning, and the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association, (PTFA), redesigned the library space with a woodland theme and spent time creating a cosy and inviting environment for the children to enjoy.

Katie Gray, executive headteacher and Branscombe Primary School told the Herald: "We launched our library after school with parents and friends, celebrating with hot chocolates and stories. The children, parents and staff snuggled up and shared books with each other.

"It was a fantastic event which was enjoyed by all; gasps of delight from the children as they entered the new space made all the hard work worth it. The children have all said how much they are looking forward to using their new library and continuing to develop their love of reading."
