The Rotary Club of Axminster are hosting a Christmas Charity Lunch on Wednesday, December 20 at The Guildhall, Axminster.

Taking place from 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start, tickets for this event are £20 per person, RSVPs must be returned to Sue Watson by Tuesday, December 5.

The proceeds are being split this year between Headlight and Rotary Club of Axminster, Charity fund.  Headlight is a peer support group for young people (13 – 18) experiencing emotional and mental health issues, with sessions every fortnight in Axminster take part in activities led by a Mental Health Support Worker to help them to develop their skills and self-confidence.  Each young person has a 1-2-1 assessment with a Support Worker, with follow-up sessions as necessary.  Headlight, one of Action East Devon’s local services, grew from The Project, set up by a parent in Axminster in 2013 to offer early support for young people, who can wait months for statutory help.  It is entirely funded through grants, donations and fundraising.

Rotary Club of Axminster is a global organization has 46,000 clubs worldwide, they support both local charitable needs and worldwide causes.
