A community Christmas party is taking place at Honiton's Brightside restaurant this week, and the business wants to invite 'local champions' to come along as guests.

Brightside, on the A303 near Honiton, is asking readers of the Herald to put its team in touch with individuals or charities/community groups who deserve a treat.

The party will take place from 6pm this Thursday, December 7, with complimentary food from the Christmas menu, live music and festive fun.

Another is taking place at Brightside's Exeter branch on Saturday, December 9.

Brightside's operations manager Charlie Jones said: “Do you know a local hero, someone who goes above and beyond for their local community?  Do you run or volunteer for a local charity or community group whose users would enjoy an evening out?  Or do you know someone who has had a tough time and could do with a treat?

“If so, then please do get in touch with details as soon as you can so we can invite them to these very special events.  Community is incredibly important to us here at Brightside, so what better way to demonstrate this than to celebrate these amazing local champions with a Christmas party full of fun and fabulous food?"

Anyone interested in attending or nominating a local champion or organisation should email charlie.jones@brightside.co.uk
