A Valentines-themed Tea and Chat party is taking place at the Gateway Theatre, Seaton, next Thursday (February 15).
It’s being hosted by Mandy Saunders who organises regular Tea and Chat events there for older residents.
The Valentines event will feature entertainment from singer Shirley Austin, who will perform romantic songs including some dance numbers. There will be party food and Valentine-themed decorations including some made by residents of the Netherhayes Care Home in Seaton, and a raffle.
Representatives from the local NHS will also be attending to check people's blood pressure and answer any health questions.
The party will take place from 10am until 12 noon on Thursday, February 15 and admission is £2, which includes refreshments.
The last Tea and Chat event at the theatre was a Christmas party which was attended by the Mayor of Seaton, Amrik Singh and attracted plenty of people for music, dancing and festive food. Proceeds from the raffle were donated to Seaton Hospital League of Friends.
