Honiton Community College students will cycle the distance from Honiton to Paris and back again to raise money for charity.
The fundraiser is scheduled to get underway on March 21 at 1.45pm.
It has a personal touch this year; it honours a Post 16 student who passed away in October at The Royal Holloway University.
In honour and celebration of the student, Post-16 have chosen to support Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).
In their endeavour, students will pedal on three static bikes set up at the college centre.
Their goal is to complete a round trip from Honiton to Paris, a total of 1615km.
This cumulative distance is modified from the conventional 1186km to virtually pass by some significant locations.
The time-bound challenge aims to finish within 24 hours.
The initiative aligns with the goal of SADS charity to save lives.
The tragic loss faced by the Post 16 community has led to a resolve to raise awareness and funds for life-saving research.
Proceeds from the effort will go towards purchasing a defibrillator for the Honiton community and the university.
The fundraising effort has garnered impressive support.
One individual said: "The student committee have been overwhelmed with donations so far to the Just Giving page".
He added that local businesses have been generous with incredible raffle prizes too.

Despite being a smaller-than-average sixth form, the students have a glowing record of fundraising.
Over the last decade, they have raised well over £13,000 for local charities.
