A full capacity field of 72 played in the Founders Day Trophy on Saturday, April 13.
The format of the competition is three men and a lady in Stableford format with two scores to count.
The trophy was originally given by Derek Dodd in 1996 in appreciation of the debt owed to the founder members of the club back in 1896.
This year's winners with a superb score of 82 points were Janet Higgins, Peter Wainwright, Peter Waters and Mike Williams.
In second place were John Jackson, Rob Loader, Sarah Owen and Chris Ford, and back in third were Caroline Bond, Mark Kingdon, Oliver Olliff and Sam Phillips.
Over £450 was raised for our captains' charity, Dementia Friendly Honiton, from a raffle and Halfway House with refreshments expertly served by Neil Price, Ian Collier and Mike Sennett.
Following another blank week owing to more rain, the Seniors Section enjoyed what was probably the best weather we have encountered for several months.
All just in time for the first trophy competition of 2024, the Ronnie Pew Salver, an Individual Stableford.
In Division 2, Ashley Murray was placed first on countback from Mike Sennitt, both with 30 points.
Graham Cumming, David Marjoram and John Pawley took the minor places money, all with 28 points.
Division 1 fared better with David Scott and John Jackson in 4th and 5th places on 32 points.
Marks Sanders was third on 34 points and Tony Williams second on 36 points, but the winner of the division and the Ronnie Pew Salver for 2024 was Phil Deacon with an impressive 38 points.
