Legendary country-rock guitarist Albert Lee is returning with his band to The Beehive, Honiton, on Thursday, October 17.

He is one of the most respected and renowned guitarists in music history, having worked with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, Joe Cocker and Bill Wyman.

Lee is known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique.

Eric Clapton described him as 'the ultimate virtuoso' and said: "His skill is extraordinary, his ear is extraordinary and he's gifted on just about every level."

Lee started his career during the emerging rock 'n' roll scene of 1960s London, then moved to the US and became involved in the country music scene.

He recorded a number of solo albums and has continued touring with high-profile musicians.

In 2002 he joined Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney and other music legends on stage at the memorial concert for George Harrison at the Royal Albert Hall.

The concert at The Beehive starts at 8pm and tickets are £25 (with allocated seating).
