For many, being in good company is key to being happy. Spending that meaningful time with family or friends to have a laugh and forget any worries, or to talk about them. But not everyone has that blessing in life. Loneliness can affect anyone and everyone, with a big hit on personal health and wellbeing.
It is welcome that Hospiscare is receiving an extra £480,000 from NHS Devon to boost its budget for the next year following persistent campaigning and my debate in Parliament earlier this year.
