TWO residents at an Abbeyfield care home in East Devon celebrated their 100th birthdays within days of each other.Betty Burgess and Tom Jackson, of Hill House, Combe Raleigh, near Honiton, are pictured with care home manager Lynn Pulman and her deputy, Ann Rickson, during a joint birthday party.Other residents and staff attended the event, held last Friday. Other celebrations were held with family members.Betty enjoyed family visits during the day.Tom was fascinated by his telegram from the Queen and wondered if he might be sending her one for her 100th birthday!A special birthday cake and a bottle of bubbly were presented to the centenarians during the party.
