Well attended event raises £345
A spring fair organised by the Axe Valley Centre of The National Trust raised £345.
The event, at Colyford Memorial Hall, was well attended and included a wide variety of stalls. The always popular bacon rolls were a sell-out success.
The money raised will be made available to help fund National Trust projects in this area.
Last year the Centre gave grants to A la Ronde, Knightshayes, Castle Drogo, Killerton and Branscombe.
Trips to the RNLI HQ at Poole and Cotele are being arranged during the summer closure, details of which can be obtained from Maggie Tinsley on 01297 553216.
The group's programme of talks resumes at Colyford Memorial Hall on September 11 at 2.30pm when Richard Drysdale will speak about the Jurassic Centre. Non-members are welcome to attend.
For details of the group's autumn visits to concerts at Exeter University and Exeter Cathedral contact Wendy Hall on 01297 598296.
