More than 100 ladies in Whimple have worked together to create a collection of naked Christmas cards and wrapping paper.
The ‘Wonders of Whimple’, which has 102 female members, launched the project to raise money for two breast cancer causes - Body Image Movement and Breast Cancer Now.
Last year, the group created a naked calendar, which raised more than £5,000 for charity.
Member Gill Wilson, who organised the fundraising venture with photographer Sue Draycott, said: “We all live in Whimple.
“The ages of the women involved range from 18 to 85.
“Every one of us has been affected by breast cancer - I do not know anyone who that has not been affected by it by now. We all feel really strongly and we are all touched by it, even if we have not been diagnosed with it.”
The group started prepping for the initiative as early as February this year, with some brave participants posing in the snow that blanketed the UK when the Beast from the East struck.
Gill said those who are not comfortable in posing nude for the project have helped in other ways, by advertising the cause, packaging the products, and holding small fundraisers such as coffee mornings.
She added that the most important thing about the initiative is that everyone has fun taking part.
Gill said: “The moment it does not become fun, we do not do it - that’s the rule.”
The project to bare all for charity was started when Gill, who works as a counsellor for young adults with eating disorders, decided to screen a film in the village called ‘Embrace’.
The film raised awareness and discussion around body image and the impact on young people.
Gill spoke to Sue and they hatched a plan to create a ‘Calendar Girls’ style calendar starring the ladies of Whimple.
Through the venture, the duo hoped to highlight the body image movement as well as raising valuable funds for charity.
Within 15 minutes of going on sale, more than 100 calendars had been sold.
The Christmas cards which have been created this year are being sold in a pack of ten, costing £4, and the wrapping paper costs £3.
