The collision happened shortly before 3.30pm near Tytherleigh, and police have confirmed that two men and a woman suffered ‘serious injuries’.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “It is not known at this time if the injuries are life threatening or life changing, nor in which vehicle they were travelling.
“The road has been closed to allow emergency service access and recovery, and traffic is expected to be slow moving for some time.
“Drivers are advised to avoid the area for the time being.”
