Police in Dorset are urging members of the public to think twice about whether they really need to call them.
Officers say recently they have been telephoned by people with a number of non-urgent reports and queries.
These included: “My cat has caught a bat”, “Where is my nearest B&Q?”, “I’ve broken down in my boat”, and “Could you tell me who my car is insured with?”
