Traders and business bosses in Axminster have pledged their support for a call to brighten up the town with colourful floral displays this summer.
The chamber of commerce has announced its backing for the Rotary Club’s ‘In Bloom Hanging Basket’ competition, with judging taking place this July.
The group’s chairman, Shane Morgan, said: “This is a great opportunity for traders, retailers, offices, inns and restaurants to put their hanging baskets out to brighten up Axminster with an opportunity to win the Rotary Cup.”
A spokesman for the Axminster Rotary Club said: “We hope the trading community will take this opportunity to brighten up the town for locals and visitors alike.”
