Help needed to find 100-year-old tortoise.
A Honiton woman has been left ‘utterly heartbroken’ after her much-loved family pet went missing.
Selsia Davies, of Whitebridges, returned home from shopping to find the 100-year-old tortoise missing from its wooden bungalow in the garden.
“I’m so upset,” Mrs Davies said. “Our tortoise has been in the family for 30 years.”
The Hermans tortoise was given to Mrs Davies by her neighbours, who had previously owned it for 16 years.
Police in Honiton are currently looking into the disappearance. .
“I’d like to thank the police for their work looking into this,” Mrs Davies said. “However, it’s still a family travesty.
“I’m offering a substantial reward for her return.”
The tortoise has a chip in its shell, which is located above its left back leg.
