Colyton Primary School youngsters collect gifts for less fortunate children overseas
Pupils at Colyton Primary School have been busy filling shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child appeal.
They have been packed with gifts to bring some yuletide cheer to needy children overseas.
Christian group Samaritan’s Purse, the charity behind Operation Christmas Child, says its shoebox appeal gives children who grow up with relative wealth the chance to be a part of selfless giving to others - irrespective of the creed, colour, religion, sex, ethnicity of either the child giving or the child receiving. This is a powerful message for children, they say.
