Budding young artist wins sculpture competition.
A budding young artist from Feniton will have his artwork brought to life after winning a jubilee sculpture competition.
Alfie Gibbins, a pupil at Feniton Church of England Primary School, was selected as the overall winner of East Devon District Council’s Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Art Competition.
The six-year-old will have his design turned into a sculpture by professional artist Gordon Field, who is based in the Blackdown Hills.
It will be fixed to the wall of Honiton Sports Centre.
All of the entries are on display at the Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
