Ellie and Ollie Harris beat off stiff competition to win a battle of the bands competition.
A brother and sister duo from Colyton is set to make their mark on the music industry after coming top in a battle of the bands competition.
Ellie, 19, and Ollie Harris, 16, who form the acoustic band Six Days, beat off stiff competition to win the Resonate Devon Finals held at Exeter Centre Spot.
The siblings won a recording session at Turntekk Studios in Exeter as well as a professional photo shoot and free music lessons.
They have been playing together as Six Days for nearly a year but have been performing for more than five years.
“We play acoustic music, based around our vocal consonance and harmonies,” says Ollie.
The band’s main influences are The Civil Wars and Paramore.
“We’re very excited to start moving our music forward and get ourselves out there; this recording is a great opportunity,” adds Ollie.
“We hope to push this forward and we want to make a living out of music - we want it to be our profession.”
