Specialist equipment brought in to free 25-year-old George from his sticky predicament
A SPECIALIST rescue team was called to free a horse trapped in a ditch at Combe Raleigh this morning (Tuesday).
The ‘special ops’ firefighters, along with colleagues from Honiton, arrived to find a vet comforting the 14hh animal, which was stuck in wet mud.
The 25-year-old horse, called George, was released by the crews using specialist animal rescue equipment and has apparently suffered no lasting ill effects from his ordeal.
