Two men forced to swim to shore after getting into diffulties half a mile out to sea
TWO Canoeists had to swim to shore after their boat capsized off Axmouth on Saturday.
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched after reports the men had got into difficulties half a mile from the mouth of the River Axe.
The lifeboat was quickly on the scene, by which time the two men had managed to swim to safety.
Their Canadian-style canoe was beached by a surfer.
