Delays and cancellations after trees and debris fall on railway lines.
High winds of up to 60 miles per hour are currently affecting some South West Trains services.
Services are subject to short-notice cancellation and delay until further notice.
Passengers are advised to check the live train information available at www.southwesttrains.co.uk for the latest service updates.
Jake Kelly, customer service director for South West Trains, told the Midweek Herald: “The severe strong winds are causing disruption to road, rail and air transport in many parts of the country, including train services on our network.
“We understand the impact this is having on our customers and would like to thank them for their patience during some extremely challenging conditions.
“The safety of our passengers is paramount and our response teams are working hard in partnership with Network Rail to clear the lines of trees and debris to enable us to restore normal services as quickly as possible”.
