Firefighters use covering water jet to protect nearby thatched property
A VAN was destroyed in a fire at Axmouth in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday).
The vehicle was found to be well alight in Southcombe Terrace when firefighters from Seaton arrived at around 3.40am following numerous calls from the public.
They used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to fight the flames while one covering jet was employed to protect a nearby thatched property.
In addition to the van being completely burnt out there was fire damage to around five metres of nearby hedgerow.
