Time is running out to help Flamingo Pool win a share of bank’s community fund
FLAMINGO pool supporters were busy drumming up support for an important funding bid at their coffee morning in Axminster today (Thursday).
The team are canvassing votes for a share in the NatWest Bank’s community fund – to help pay for a retracting cover for their Hydrotherapy pool.
The new equipment will limit evaporation and heat losses overnight while the facility is not used. It is designed as cost saving and ecologically sound measure to improve overall efficiency.
An on-line and phone-in ballot is taking place to decide who gets a share of the bank’s Community Force Award.
It closes on Monday, October 24, so people need to get their skates on, stress the organisers.
To cast a vote people need to call 0800 2100 246 and tell the operator which cause they want to back. People can vote for up to three projects. Also in the running is Seaton Church’s FREEdom Caf which is bidding for money for a new kitchen.
To vote via the internet log on to http://communityforce.natwest.com
Results of the ballot will be known on November 3.
