Turnout: 47.9 per cent.
In the Axminster Town Ward, Lib Dem Douglas Hull scored 838 votes, and will be joined representing the area by Andrew Moulding (826 votes).
“We will do our best for the town of Axminster,” said Mr Moulding.
Conservative Wendy Cryer (585 votes), Lib Dem John Stevenson (356 votes) and Labour’s Jeremy Walden (262 votes) missed out.
There was a 47.9per cent turnout in the ward.
